10 of 11 people found the following review helpful great until it breaks!, February 16, 2011 By  Lynnster (USA CT) - See all my reviews We had this installed 2 days ago and within 24 hrs there was a funny noise and all of a sudden there was hardly any water pressure when using hot water; cold water pressure remained good. It took the plumber (who happens to be my hubby) 1 hour & 45 minutes to figure out what was wrong and fix it. Turns out there is a well-hidden & impossible to get at, check valve in both the hot and cold lines. My hubby almost gave up before finding this piece way up in the hot water line, which had jammed into a partially closed position. There was no dirt clogging it. He had to use a drill and other assorted things to get the valve out. It's permanently removed now (could only be removed by drilling it out). But most people who don't see this review will likely toss the faucet out when this happens, unless right way, as most plumbers won't find these check valves & who is going to pay for almost 2 hours of labor required to fix it? It looks cool and contemporary, but not too modern or industrial. It's the perfect height and reach over the sink. The pull out has great balance and retracts smoothly. The stream of water is super precise and clean. Great action on the lever. Easy install. Good price. This review is from: KOHLER K-13963-VS Elate Pullout Kitchen Faucet, Vibrant Stainless (Tools & Home Improvement) We've been pleased with this faucet--really like the pullout spray head with two different settings (stream and spray). Be aware that it is fairly high arching, which can cause a bit of splashing in our relatively shallow sink basins. You just have to learn to adjust the stream flow to minimize it.
