It looks cool and contemporary, but not too modern or industrial. It's the perfect height and reach over the sink. The pull out has great balance and retracts smoothly. The stream of water is super precise and clean. Great action on the lever. Easy install. Good price. It took the plumber (who happens to be my hubby) 1 hour & 45 minutes to figure out what was wrong and fix it. Turns out there is a well-hidden & impossible to get at, check valve in both the hot and cold lines. My hubby almost gave up before finding this piece way up in the hot water line, which had jammed into a partially closed position. There was no dirt clogging it. He had to use a drill and other assorted things to get the valve out. It's permanently removed now (could only be removed by drilling it out). But most people who don't see this review will likely toss the faucet out when this happens, unless right way, as most plumbers won't find these check valves & who is going to pay for almost 2 hours of labor required to fix it? Certainly not Kohler, - they get away with murder when... This review is from: Kohler K-13963-VS Elate Pullout Kitchen Faucet, Vibrant Stainless (Tools & Home Improvement) We've been pleased with this faucet--really like the pullout spray head with two different settings (stream and spray). Be aware that it is fairly high arching, which can cause a bit of splashing in our relatively shallow sink basins. You just have to learn to adjust the stream flow to minimize it. I had it for about 5 years, the stainless steel version, it was getting harder to make it pivot and one day it stopped pivoting completely. Big crumbles of rust were falling under the sink that made me thought it was the mounting bracket that was rotting since it was covered with rust. It wasn't it was the bearing washer inside the faucet, it rusted away in crumbles, so the faucet stopped pivoting. There shouldn't be a problem, after all it is a pricey MOEN faucet right? Well here is where MOEN show what they are. I wrote them asking for the part because I wasn't able to see it in the parts explode view they have in their web site. I got the answer the next day and it got me astonished: "The part you described in your email is referred to as a bearing washer bracket and this part is crucial to the faucet's ability to swivel side to side. Within a couple of years the calls to Moen service started. An unending stream of problems with that faucet, none related to each other except for being part of the same Moen faucet. The chrome peeled off the plastic shroud just below the handle. The spring in the soap dispenser collapsed to a small fraction of its former capability. The chrome nozzle on the soap dispenser discolored. The same nozzle eventually just fell out. The hand soap in the dispenser eventually came out brown because of the pump mechanism rusting inside. The plastic sprayer handle simply snapped off one day. The chromed plastic cap on the top of the handle where it connects to the rest of the faucet simply fell off because a tab on the underside apparently cracked. The faucet started squealing when moving the lever, so the cartridge had to be replaced. Naturally, all these problems wouldn't be complete without water leakage issues on occasion... We thought what we were buying was a high quality pullout faucet, and the lifetime warranty helped the sale. However, this faucet will start dripping on you in 2 years, and after getting replacement parts from Moen, it will drip again after another 2 years. Look up other reviews on the net before buying this one. For us, it really was not worth the hassle of calling Moen again. We're going with a Grohe. 2 stars because it will work fine for 2 years.
