Turns out there is a well-hidden & impossible to get at, check valve in both the hot and cold lines. My hubby almost gave up before finding this piece way up in the hot water line, which had jammed into a partially closed position. There was no dirt clogging it. He had to use a drill and other assorted things to get the valve out. It's permanently removed now (could only be removed by drilling it out). But most people who don't see this review will likely toss the faucet out when this happens, unless right way, as most plumbers won't find these check valves & who is going to pay for almost 2 hours of labor required to fix it? Be aware that it is fairly high arching, which can cause a bit of splashing in our relatively shallow sink basins. You just have to learn to adjust the stream flow to minimize it. |
